Hybrid lenses are an interesting innovation. They combine the best of both types of lenses. They have a GP (oxygen breathing) center, surrounded by a soft lens "skirt." The goal of hybrid lenses is to provide the clarity of a gas permeable lens and the wearing comfort that rivals that of a soft lens. These are a great option for those individuals who want to be able to see more crisply than they can with soft lenses, but have difficulty in adjusting to how oxygen permeable contact lenses feel.
