Dr. S. Moshe Roth, OD, FCOVD

Dr. Roth graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1985. He has been in private practice since 1992, and enjoys helping members of the entire family.

Dr. Roth is an Optometric Physician and is certified by the New Jersey Board of Optometrists to prescribe topical and oral medications.

Dr. Roth is Board Certified in Vision Developmentand Vision Therapy by The College of Optometrists in Vision Development.

He is a member of:

  • The American Optometric Association (AOA)
  • The New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians (NJSOP) 
  • The College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD), and is Board Certified
  • The Optometric Extension Program Foundation (OEP)
  • The American Academy of Orthokeratology (OAA)
  • The Neuro Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA)
  • The Brain Injury Association of New Jersey (BIANJ)

Dr. Roth sees patients of all ages, infants, children, adults, and seniors, for comprehensive eye health (treatment of eye disease) and for vision care. 

He has extensive experience in
  • Treatment of Eye Diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, etc. 
  • Eye injuries and emergencies such as corneal abrasion, eye allergies, dry eye, etc.
  • Vision Care includes prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses, and finding the right answer for each individual's needs. 
  • Providing specialized service for those that require vision therapy, and those that want vision correction through orthokeratology.  
Dr. Roth listenes to your concerns and does all appropriate tests to arrive at solutions to your problems.  At times, eye health issues may not be apparent or obvious, for example, glaucoma.  Vision issues that impact learning may also not be obvious and these can lead to school struggles and frustration.  Dr. Roth will help you understand your specific problem(s) and all of the solutions available to address those issues. 

Each age group has particular needs:  

Infants and Children: testing for all eye health and visual development issues. 

Adults:  We adddress the visual needs and the eye health issues of each individual;

  • Distance and near eyeglass prescriptions, bifocal and progressive lenses, and special eyeglass lenses to address the needs of those who spend considerable time on computer.
  • Contact Lenses
  • Eye health issues suchs as cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye, complications of diabetes, etc.

Dr. Roth gives classes and workshops to professional groups, teachers, educators, parent groups, and to other doctors.  Contact us if you would like him to speak to your group. He frequently authors newspaper articles on eye and vision related topics. Dr. Roth is committed to Continuing Education. He regularly attends lectures, seminars, symposia, and conventions in order to learn and bring the best care to the residents in our area.
