What's New In Our Office ?

The Sanet Vision Integrator (SVI) sanet

is a special instrument that uses a wide screen touch monitor to improve visual abilities.  It helps a wide range of patients with visually related learning problems i.e., strabismus, amblyopia, and traumatic brain injury.  It is also very effective for sports vision enhancement work with athletes. 

The programs within the SVI help patients develop visual abilities, including as pursuits (eye tracking), saccades (accurate eye movements), fixation stability, eye-hand coordination, visual reaction time, speed and span of recognition.  It also improves visual and auditory sequencing, and memory.  The SVI uses voice control to instruct patients to respond to verbal commands thus improving auditory/visual integration and memory.  It is extremely effective when working with visual acuity improvement in patients with amblyopia, patients with visual field loss, visual-spatial neglect, and patients with rhythm, reading and math problems.  

The SVI enhances eye-hand coordination, visual reaction time and central peripheral integration in patients of all ages.  Patients use their hand rather than a keyboard or laser pointer to have more “real life” tactile and proprioceptive feedback.  It is used for Sports Vision Enhancement, both to test and measure visual reaction time and hand speed and then to help the individual become faster.  It enables the athlete or patient to improve central-peripheral integration, visual prediction, speed, and accuracy and eye-hand coordination.  It is also helpful for patients who have had a Traumatic Brain Injury who have suffered visual field loss and visual spatial neglect. It improves speed and accuracy of saccades and pursuits, sustained visual attention, eye-hand coordination, rhythm and visual and auditory sequencing, memory and integration.
