Dr. Moshe Roth: The concept is that how you use your body changes your body. When somebody lives in the field, picking up grain, you can see it in their bones after, like when you do a forensics study, you can see what kind of work this person did. If somebody’s a hockey player, they’re typically going to build their lower body – their calves, their thigh muscles – because that’s what they’re working on. If somebody’s a bodybuilder, they’re gonna typically build their upper body more so. Why? Because they’re lifting things. So how you use your body changes your body, and how you use your visual system changes your visual system. If somebody’s geared to doing a lot of near work, they’re going to become nearsighted.
