Brain Injury

When an individual suffers a brain injury, the following problems can occur:

  • Blurred vision
  • Double vision
  • Sensitivity to light
  • Difficulty reading (words appear to move and it is hard to focus)
  • Difficulty with comprehension
  • Difficulty with attention and concentration
  • Difficulty with memory
  • Headaches
  • Loss of some portion of the visual field
  • These problems are often overlooked during the first part of treatment of the injury. Delay in treating these problems can delay an individual’s recovery.
