Learning-Related Vision Problems
Vision Therapy is a supervised treatment program designed to correct visual-motor (eye-based) and/or brain-based issues that involve perception and processing. Vision Therapy helps children and adults who have not developed the visual skills that are needed for effective reading, writing, and learning. These skills include eye movement and focusing skills, convergence, eye-hand activity, visual memory skills, etc. Often there is a vision problem at the root of a learning disability, a diagnosis of ADD/ADHD or Dyslexia. At times, people suffer a traumatic brain injury, a concussion, or stroke, and have lost visual skills. Visual skills can be developed and regained.
