I thought I would never be able to see the world without my glasses

This is a young patient (14 years old) that is very myopic that had gone through Ortho-k and Vision Therapy for Myopia Control.
When she was here initially, she was:
OD -7.75-1.50x180
OS -9.00-1.00x175

The Ortho-k helped us change the cornea structure, so she can see clearly without eyeglasses. We use a specialized Wave Ortho-K lens that's unique to her eye's shape, allowing us to correct her vision better than most other contact lenses.

The Vision therapy portion was to change how her eyes function, so she learns how to better use the visual system. This way, her myopia / nearsightedness will not progress further and once again become myopic.

After just a few weeks of Ortho-k, she was already 20/20 in each eye. If we stopped there, her myopia would likely progress further, despite the Ortho-k, which is why introducing Vision Therapy is so instrumental as part of the process..
