Brain Injury

When an individual suffers a brain injury, the following problems can occur:

  • Blurred vision
  • Double vision
  • Sensitivity to light
  • Difficulty reading (words appear to move and it is hard to focus)
  • Difficulty with comprehension
  • Difficulty with attention and concentration
  • Difficulty with memory
  • Headaches
  • Loss of some portion of the visual field

These problems are often overlooked during the first part of treatment of the injury. Delay in treating these problems can delay an individual's recovery.
