Can an Occupational Therapist through school or privately, provide Vision Therapy?
Can a Physical Therapist provide Vision Therapy?
Vision Therapy is best provided by someone who understands the visual system. Occupational Therapists are excellent when it comes to providing Occupational Therapy.
Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy overlap, but each has its own area of expertise. Vision is not a subsection of Occupational or Physical Therapy. Most general optometrists do not provide Vision Therapy because this is an area that requires additional study and expertise in order to provide this service well.
Therapy provided by an OT or PT may provide some benefits, but neither can provide Vision Therapy in a way that a Behavioral / Developmental Optometrist is able to.

Appointment times may vary so call us for availability. Friday is Administrative only.
